This one-week course combines paper circuitry and writing. Learners craft a powerful story to and use the basic principles of circuitry to illuminate their writing.
Learners receive a paper circuitry kit which includes copper tape, lights, paper clips, batteries and, templates for additional circuit patterns, and a notebook.
Paper circuitry is the use of copper tape, batteries, lights, and paper to create active circuits. Paper circuitry can introduce learners to the basics of conductivity and develop their fine motor and visual design skills.

The course will explicitly teach informational writing and flash prose. Learners will create text similar to that of photo-journal stories, museum exhibits, and kids magazine articles.
Given the nature of paper circuitry, this course is best for learners age 11-13

Dr. Lanette Jimerson is a writer, scholar and educator with 20+ years of experience teaching writing at all levels. She is an early adaptor of technology integrated writing. She not only teaches she is an active and life-long learner.
Lanette earned her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
